Composta e cantada por John Lennon, desenvolvida e trabalhada por Paul McCartney, George Harrison e Ringo Starr, foi finalizada quatro décadas depois e lançada pela Apple Corps Ltda/ Capitol UMe. Um single duplo junta<em> Now and then</em> com <em>Love me do</em>, composição de estreia dos Fab Four no Reino Unido, em 1962.</p>
<p class="texto">O enredo do <em>Now and then</em> começou no fim de 1970, quando John Lennon gravou uma demo com vocais e piano em seu apartamento no Edifício Dakota, em Nova York. Vinte e quatro anos depois, Yoko Ono entregou a gravação a Paul e Ringo, juntamente com os registros de <em>Free as a bird</em> e <em>Real love</em>, que foram concluídas como novas músicas dos Beatles e lançadas em singles em 1995 e 1996, como parte do projeto Beatles Anthology.</p>
<p class="texto">Paralelamente, um documentário de <em>Now and then</em> — <em>The last Beatles song</em>, escrito e dirigido por Oliver Murray, chega depois de amanhã às plataformas digitais. O curta traz imagens exclusivas e comentários de Paul, Ringo, Harrison, Sean Ono Lennon e Peter Jackson. O trailer já está disponível no canal dos Beatles no YouTube.</p>
<p class="texto">Tem mais: no dia 10 próximo, as coletâneas da banda de 1962-1966 e 1967-1970 serão igualmente lançadas em pacotes pela Apple/ Capitol. Essas coleções em vinil e CD, ao se juntarem a Now and then, abrangem toda a carreira da mais importante banda da história do pop rock.</p>
<p class="texto">Esses lançamentos antecedem o show que Paul McCartney fará em Brasília, dia 30 próximo, no Estádio Mané Garrincha, ponto de partida da Got Back Tour por cinco cidades brasileiras. As outras são Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, Curitiba e Rio de Janeiro.</p>
<p class="texto">O astro inglês, ao anunciar a nova turnê pelo país, enviou uma mensagem para os fãs brasileiros: “Tenho boas notícias. Estamos voltando ao Brasil em novembro para tocar para vocês. O enredo do Now and then começou no fim de 1970, quando John Lennon gravou uma demo com vocais e piano em seu apartamento no Edifício Dakota, em Nova York. Vinte e quatro anos depois, Yoko Ono entregou a gravação a Paul e Ringo, juntamente com os registros de Free as a bird e Real love , que foram concluídas como novas músicas dos Beatles e lançadas em singles em 1995 e 1996, como parte do projeto Beatles Anthology.
Paralelamente, um documentário de Now and then — The last Beatles song , escrito e dirigido por Oliver Murray, chega depois de amanhã às plataformas digitais. O curta traz imagens exclusivas e comentários de Paul, Ringo, Harrison, Sean Ono Lennon e Peter Jackson. O trailer já está disponível no canal dos Beatles no YouTube.
Tem mais: no dia 10 próximo, as coletâneas da banda de 1962-1966 e 1967-1970 serão igualmente lançadas em pacotes pela Apple/ Capitol. Essas coleções em vinil e CD, ao se juntarem a Now and then, abrangem toda a carreira da mais importante banda da história do pop rock.
Esses lançamentos antecedem o show que Paul McCartney fará em Brasília, dia 30 próximo, no Estádio Mané Garrincha, ponto de partida da Got Back Tour por cinco cidades brasileiras. As outras são Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, Curitiba e Rio de Janeiro.
O astro inglês, ao anunciar a nova turnê pelo país, enviou uma mensagem para os fãs brasileiros: “Tenho boas notícias. Estamos voltando ao Brasil em novembro para tocar para vocês. Temos ótimas lembranças de todas as nossas visitas ao país. Eu amo ir ao Brasil porque vocês gostam de rock, de cantar e festejar ao mesmo tempo. Estamos muito animados. Vamos nos divertir muito!”.
